Cheap Cyberpunk 2077 Gift Giving Amidst all of Cyberpunk 2077's launch issues CD Projekt Red could be the target of a class-action lawsuit that accuses the developer of "misrepresentation in order to receive financial benefits."

Per the New York Times Polish attorney and CD Projekt RED investor Mikołaj Orzechowski has expressed that he’s looking into the possibility of suing the company alleging that it may have misrepresented itself to investors in a bid to secure funding.

The Polish developer has been under fire since Cyberpunk 2077 launched on December 10. While the PC version is said to run well enough albeit with some bugs and glitches the technical issues on the console versions -- especially when played on last-gen devices PlayStation 4 and Xbox One -- have prompted widespread complaints.

As reported by the Polish website Bankier.pl (via PC Games) Mikołaj Orzechowski lawyer and investor at CD Projekt from Warsaw is currently examining the extent to which a class action lawsuit against the studio is possible. To this end the lawyer asks other investors to get in touch with him and if necessary Cyberpunk 2077 Accounts to participate in the lawsuit.

In a press release the law firm stated it was investigating a “potential securities claims on behalf of shareholders of CD Projekt S.A. resulting from allegations that CD Projekt may have issued materially misleading information to their shareholders and investing public”.

The news of the potential lawsuits follow a tumultuous week for CD Projekt RED which includes the announcement of refunds for Cyberpunk 2077 the removal of the game from the PlayStation Store and the studio’s founders losing $1billion worth in stock following the game’s messy release.

CD Projekt's stock fell in the run-up to launch with a sharp decline after the game released. At the time of writing it has dropped 43% since its last high on December 4 at PLN 443 to PLN 250 -- the lowest it has fallen since March.
